About Corroboree Billabong

Corroboree Billabong is a must see Top End location.

Whilst Corroboree Billabong does not currently have the same profile as Yellow Water in Kakadu it certainly offers visitors an experience equal to and if not exceeding it’s more well known cousin.

The Billabong is part of the Mary River system, during the wet season when the river is in flood Corroboree Billabong and the other Mary River billabongs are all accessible to the sea due to the high water levels. As the waters receed at the end

of our wet season areas of the river become landlocked forming billabongs,  Corroboree Billabong being the largest of the system.

The Billabong has over 20km on navigable water most of which is lined with lillies and pandanus.

Corroboree is home to countless bird species just some of what you may see include:-
